Ingredients:
3 bananas, cut in half
20 g butter
1 tablespoon brown or white sugar
Instructions:
In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the sugar.
Stir constantly until the mixture turns into caramel.
Place the banana halves in the caramelized mixture and turn off the heat.
For the cake batter:
1 egg
50 g sugar (3 tablespoons)
50 ml vegetable oil (6 tablespoons)
100 ml milk (1/2 cup)
8 g vanilla sugar (1 teaspoon)
130 g flour (1 cup)
20 g cocoa (1 heaped tablespoon)
8 g baking powder (1 teaspoon)
Instructions:
In a bowl, whisk together the egg, sugar, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla sugar until well combined.
Add the flour, cocoa, and baking powder to the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
Now, back to the bananas:
4. Pour the cake batter over the caramelized bananas in the pan and turn on the heat again.
Simmer the mixture, then cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, until the cake is set and slightly dry on top.
