Ingredients:
- Peels from 2 lemons
- Peels from 2 oranges (use organic if possible)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Peels:
- Thoroughly wash the lemons and oranges to remove any dirt or wax.
- Use a vegetable peeler or sharp knife to carefully peel the outer layer of the citrus fruits. Try to avoid the white pith, as it can be bitter.
- Dry the Peels:
- Preheat your oven to the lowest setting, typically around 170°F (75°C).
- Place the peels in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the peels for 2-3 hours, or until they are completely dry and brittle. You can also air-dry them by leaving them in a warm, dry spot for a couple of days.
