Delicius cake
Ingredients:
400 ml (13.5 fl oz) milk
Zest of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
2 egg yolks
40 g (1.4 oz) sugar
15 g (0.5 oz) cornstarch
Juice of 1 lemon
100 g (3.5 oz) condensed milk
Cinnamon, cocoa, or chocolate for decoration
35 g (1.3 oz) coffee
100 g (3.5 oz) sugar
140 ml (4.7 fl oz) cold water
100 g (3.5 oz) ricotta cheese
120 ml (4 fl oz) whipping cream
Juice of 2 oranges
Savoiardi cookies
Additional chocolate for decoration
Instructions:
Step 1: Milk Mixture
Combine 400 ml of milk with the zest of 1 lemon and 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar.
Cook the mixture until it boils.
Step 2: Egg Mixture
In a separate bowl, whisk 2 egg yolks with 40 g of sugar and 15 g of cornstarch.
Gradually add the hot milk mixture, stirring constantly.
Return the mixture to the pot and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Let it cool down.
Step 3: Lemon Cream
Once the milk mixture is cool, add the juice of 1 lemon and 100 g of condensed milk.
Beat the mixture until thick.
Decorate with cinnamon, cocoa, or chocolate.
Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 4: Coffee Mixture
Combine 35 g of coffee with 100 g of sugar and 140 ml of cold water.
Beat the mixture until thick.
Step 5: Ricotta Cream
In another bowl, mix 100 g of ricotta cheese with 120 ml of whipping cream, 100 g of condensed milk, and the juice of 2 oranges.
Beat until thick.
Step 6: Assembly
Layer the Savoiardi cookies with the lemon cream and ricotta cream mixtures.
Decorate with chocolate.
Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
