Incredibly Delicious Stringy Katmer Recipe

It’s easy to make and perfect for breakfast or tea time.

Ingredients:

4 cups of flour (480 grams)
1 teaspoon of salt (8 grams)
2 glasses of water (400 ml)
150 grams of butter
1 tea glass of oil (100 ml)

Instructions:

1.Prepare the Dough:

In a bowl, mix 4 cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of salt.
Gradually add 2 glasses of water while kneading for 3-4 minutes until you obtain a medium-hard dough.
Cover the dough airtight and let it rest for 30 minutes.

2.Knead and Rest Again:

After 30 minutes, knead the dough again for 3-4 minutes to soften it.
Cover it airtight and let it rest for another 30 minutes.

3.Shape the Dough:

Once rested, the dough should be soft and pliable. Divide it into 8 equal parts and roll each part into a ball.
Take the first dough ball and roll it out lengthwise. Cut it very thinly using a roulette or knife.
Generously apply a mixture of 150 grams of butter and 1 tea glass of oil all over the dough.
Assemble the dough as shown in the video. Repeat for all dough balls.

4.Form the Katmer:

Stretch the prepared dough and wrap it in your hands, pressing lightly.
Cover and let the shaped dough rest for 15 minutes.

5.Cook the Katmer:

After 15 minutes, press on the dough pieces and spread them a little.
Heat a pan on medium heat and carefully place the dough in the pan.
Cook by constantly turning it upside down to ensure it browns evenly and no dough remains uncooked inside.
Repeat for the remaining dough pieces.

6.Serve and Enjoy:

Your delicious stringy katmer is ready to serve! Enjoy it for breakfast or tea time. It’s incredibly delicious and practical, surprising everyone with its stringy texture.
