Today, I’m excited to show you how to make delicious homemade butter in just three minutes. Yes, you heard me right, three minutes! It’s unbelievably easy and tastes so much better than store-bought butter.
To get started, you’ll need:
600ml of heavy cream (around 40% fat content)
A hand mixer or hand beater
Here’s how it’s done:
Pour your heavy cream into a mixing bowl.
Begin beating the cream on low speed until it starts to thicken, which should take about 20 seconds.
Increase the speed to high and continue beating for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture separates into butter and buttermilk.
And that’s it! You’ve just made butter. Now, all you need to do is:
Strain the mixture to separate the butter from the buttermilk.
With clean hands (or gloves if you prefer), gather the butter and squeeze out any excess buttermilk.
Shape the butter into a block or any desired shape and place it in a container.
Refrigerate the butter and use it within two weeks.
And there you have it, your very own homemade butter, ready to spread on toast, use in recipes, or just enjoy on its own. Trust me, once you’ve tried homemade butter, you’ll never want to go back to the store-bought stuff.
I hope you enjoy making and using this homemade butter as much as I do. Until next time, happy cooking!
