“Stay Cancer-Free Deliciously: My Simple & Healthy Daily Eats!”

Today, I’m going to show you exactly what I eat in a day to stay cancer-free, six years and counting, after being diagnosed with stage three cancer. When I finished my treatment plan—intensive surgery and chemotherapy—I was determined to do everything in my power to stay cancer-free. However, my oncology team wasn’t very helpful when it came to providing guidance beyond treatment. So, I took matters into my own hands.

I already had a doctorate degree with a focus on Cancer Care when I was diagnosed. My research work was centered on helping women recover from cancer. With this background, I knew how to find the answers to staying cancer-free. I dedicated months to researching and focusing solely on what a cancer survivor can do to remain cancer-free. I explored everything from food to supplements to stress reduction techniques.

I’ll show you exactly what to eat in a day to give yourself the best chance at staying absolutely cancer-free.

Breakfast:

Breakfast is a crucial meal, especially for cancer survivors. It’s essential to start your day with a meal that is high in protein. One of my go-to breakfast options is overnight oats. They are delicious, easy to make, and packed with fiber and protein.

Here’s how I make them:

Combine oatmeal, a scoop of protein powder, a handful of berries, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Mix well and let it sit overnight.
Enjoy in the morning for a high-protein, high-fiber breakfast that will keep you full and energized throughout the day.
Lunch:

For lunch, I focus on eating lots of veggies and lean protein. I usually have a big salad with two different protein sources, such as chicken and pumpkin seeds or black beans and feta cheese. I also make my own dressing using balsamic vinegar, grainy mustard, and olive oil.

Afternoon Snack:

My afternoon snack is designed to avoid that afternoon slump. I mix Greek yogurt with some fruit and a little bit of dark chocolate. It satisfies my sweet tooth while providing me with the energy I need to get through the rest of the day.

Dinner:

For dinner, I load up on veggies and lean protein once again. I always have two different veggies and a lean protein option, such as marinated chicken thighs.

Dessert:

Yes, I said dessert! My favorite cancer-fighting dessert is chocolate brownies. They are simple to make and delicious.

Eating a healthy diet is essential for cancer survivors. By incorporating these simple and nutritious meals into your daily routine, you can give yourself the best chance at staying cancer-free.
