100 year old recipe! 1 potato and not a single stain! Firm skin, no wrinkles!

Unlock the secrets of natural skincare with this easy-to-follow recipe for a homemade potato-based skin cream and facial scrub. This gentle and effective skincare duo harnesses the power of natural ingredients to nourish and rejuvenate your skin.

Potato Skin Cream:
Ingredients:

1 medium potato, peeled
Water (just enough to cover the potatoes)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
200 ml water
Juice of half a lemon
12-14 drops jojoba oil
15 drops rosehip oil
4-5 drops orange essential oil
Instructions:

Begin by placing the peeled potato in a small pot and add enough water to almost cover it. Bring to a simmer until the potato is completely soft.
Puree the cooked potato and strain through a sieve to separate the juice from the mash. Retain both the juice and the leftover potato mash for later use.
In another pot, mix two tablespoons of cornstarch with 200 ml of water. Stir continuously over low heat until the mixture thickens.
Transfer the thickened mixture to a bowl and allow it to cool slightly.
Gradually add six tablespoons of the reserved potato juice to the cornstarch mixture, aiming for a creamy consistency.
To enhance the cream, add the lemon juice, jojoba oil, rosehip oil, and orange essential oil. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Natural Potato Facial Scrub:
Ingredients:

Leftover potato mash
1 tablespoon white rice, ground
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon almond oil
Instructions:

Take the reserved potato mash and add ground white rice, brown sugar, and almond oil.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly to create your exfoliating facial scrub.
Application Tips:

Before applying the cream, ensure your skin is clean and free of any makeup or impurities.
It is essential to perform an allergy test before using these homemade products. Apply a small amount to the inside of your hand and wait for 30 minutes to check for any adverse reactions.
For best results, use the facial scrub to exfoliate and then apply the potato skin cream for a nourishing finish.
Final Thoughts:
This DIY skincare routine is not only cost-effective but also a wonderful way to use natural ingredients for beauty care. The potato-based cream and scrub offer a refreshing and environmentally friendly alternative to commercial products. However, remember to consult with a healthcare provider if you have sensitive skin or are concerned about potential allergies.
